DataQuest - Database Querying

Event Description :

DataQuest hosts a three-round SQL debugging competition focused on database querying. Participants tackle progressively challenging scenarios, debugging SQL queries under time constraints. With each round, contestants refine their skills, troubleshoot complex issues, and demonstrate their proficiency in database management, competing for recognition as SQL debugging champions.

Event Rules:
  • DataQuest – SQL Debugging is an individual event. The competition consists of Three rounds.
  • Participation is open to individuals. Participants must have a basic understanding of SQL.
  • Participants must submit their answers within the allocated time for each round. The evaluation will be based on the correctness of the solutions and the time taken to complete each round.
  • Participants are not allowed to use external resources, books, or assistance from others during the competition.
  • Any form of cheating or plagiarism will result in immediate disqualification.
  • In the case of ties, the participant with the shortest cumulative time across all rounds will be ranked higher.
Round Breakdown:

    Round 1 - Fill in the Blanks:

  • Participants will be provided with SQL queries with missing parts.
  • The task is to correctly fill in the blanks in the provided queries.
  • Each correct answer earns points.

    Round 2 - Basic Queries:

  • Participants will be given a set of basic SQL queries to debug.
  • Identify and correct errors in the provided queries.
  • Points will be awarded for each successfully debugged query.

    Round 3 - Advanced Queries:

  • This round involves solving complex SQL queries and debugging advanced scenarios.
  • Participants must demonstrate proficiency in handling more intricate SQL challenges.
  • Points will be awarded for each correctly solved and debugged query.
Prize: Rs. 2,500

Ideathon

Event Description:

Ideathon is a two-round event combining idea pitching and a hackathon. Participants collaborate to propose and develop AI-driven solutions to real-world challenges, guided by experienced industry mentors. The event fosters innovation, teamwork, and problem-solving, empowering participants to transform their ideas into impactful technological advancements.

Event Rules:
  • Teams may consist of a maximum of 4 members. All team members must be registered participants.
  • The competition consists of Two rounds.
  • Submissions for both rounds must be made within the specified deadlines. Follow the submission format and guidelines provided by the organizers.
  • Participants are free to choose their preferred AI technologies, frameworks, and programming languages. Ensure compatibility and explain the reasoning behind the chosen stack in the submission.
  • Projects will be evaluated based on creativity, feasibility, impact, and technical implementation. Judges may consider the scalability and potential real-world application of the solutions.
  • Shortlisted teams or individuals will present their solutions to a panel of judges. Presentations should cover the problem statement, ideation process, technical implementation, and potential future developments.
  • Judges may ask questions during the presentation, and participants should be prepared to address queries about their solutions.

    Round 1 - Ideation Phase:

  • Participants will be provided with a problem statement related to emerging Technologies.
  • The ideation phase involves brainstorming and proposing innovative solutions.
  • Submissions must include a detailed description of the proposed solution, potential impact, and feasibility.

    Round 2 - Developing a Solution:

  • Selected teams or individuals from the ideation phase will proceed to the solution development round.
  • Teams will be required to implement their proposed solutions using AI technologies.
  • The developed solution should address the problem statement provided in Round 1.
  • Submissions must include a working prototype, codebase, and a presentation outlining the solution.
