PixelForge - Game Development

Event Description:

Participants will showcase their skills in creating innovative and immersive games. This event focuses on game mechanics, storyline development, and graphics to deliver a captivating gaming experience.(2D Games Like Pixelated Retro World, Side-Scrolling Adventure, Minimalistic Aesthetics, Dungeon Crawler, Tower defense, Escape the Maze By using Tools like Unity, Unreal Engine, Scratch Etc.)

Event Rules:
  • The game must be an original creation and not copied from existing sources.
  • Participants should use only the approved tools and software for development.
  • Each team can have a maximum of 3 members.
  • Submission should include the game file, documentation, and a gameplay video.
  • No explicit or inappropriate content is allowed in the game.
  • The game should be compatible with Windows.
  • Teams are responsible for backing up their project files.
  • Judges' decisions are final and binding.

UI/UX Unplugged

Event Description:

This event challenges participants to design creative and user-friendly interfaces. Participants will demonstrate their ability to craft intuitive user experiences, focusing on innovation and functionality.

Event Rules:
  • Designs must be original and created during the event.
  • Participants may use tools like Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.
  • Each team can have a maximum of 2 members.
  • Submissions should include wireframes, prototypes, and a design document.
  • The problem statement will be provided on the event day.
  • Accessibility and responsiveness must be considered in the design.
  • Presentations must explain the design process and decisions made.
  • Designs should focus on usability and user experience.
  • Judges' evaluations will be based on creativity, functionality, and presentation.

IPL Auction

Event Description:

Participants showcase their strategic thinking and bidding skills in a simulated IPL Auction event. Teams will manage budgets, analyze player stats, and build their dream cricket team.

Event Rules:
  • Objective: Each team participates in the auction to build a virtual IPL team within the allocated budget.
  • Team Formation: - Each participant or group forms a franchise. - Teams must have a minimum of 11 players and a maximum of 15 players. - A balanced team should include batsmen, bowlers, all-rounders, and a wicketkeeper.
  • Budget: - Each team is allocated a fixed virtual budget (e.g., 100 crore INR). - Teams cannot exceed their budget under any circumstances.
  • Player Pool: - Players available for auction are divided into categories such as capped, uncapped, and international players. - Base prices for players are pre-decided.
  • Bidding Process: - The auctioneer announces players one by one. - Teams bid for players, starting from the base price. - The highest bidder wins the player, provided they have sufficient remaining budget.
  • Squad Composition: - Teams must have at least 4 overseas players. - Teams must comply with IPL rules for team composition, ensuring a mix of domestic and international players.
  • Penalties: - Exceeding the budget results in disqualification of bids. - Failing to meet squad requirements by the end of the auction results in penalties.
  • Winner: - Teams can be evaluated based on criteria such as player quality, team balance, and adherence to rules. - A judging panel or a scoring system can determine the winner.
  • Conduct: - Participants must maintain decorum during the auction. - Any disputes will be resolved by the auctioneer, whose decision is final.
  • Time Limits: - Each team gets a limited time to place their bids for a player. - If no bids are received within the time frame, the player is unsold.

Short Film

Event Description:

An exciting platform for budding filmmakers to showcase their creativity and storytelling abilities through short films. Participants are encouraged to explore unique themes and impactful narratives.

Event Rules:
  • The maximum duration of the short film is 10 minutes, including credits.
  • The short film must be an original creation and should not infringe on any copyrights.
  • All submissions must adhere to the theme provided for the event.
  • Language used in the film should be appropriate and free from offensive content.
  • The film should not promote violence, hate speech, or discrimination of any kind.
  • Participants must ensure they have the necessary permissions for any third-party content used, such as music or visuals.
  • Submissions must be in MP4 format with a minimum resolution of 720p.
  • The deadline for submission must be strictly adhered to; late entries will not be accepted.
  • Participants must be currently enrolled students of the college.
  • The decision of the judges will be final and binding.
